About the project

MYTC logoMarket Yourself through CLIL is a partnership with the aims of 1) identifying best practice is Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) in non-language subjects for adult learners, and 2) involving adult learners from vulnerable social groups, particularly unemployed learners and those with few or no formal qualifications.

Each partner will host a mobility event where they provide training in the host country language on topics such as digital photography, making videos, Open Office applications such as PowerPoint and Publisher, social media and websites.

The learners will combine their new knowledge to create a website about the Grundtvig programme and their experience of learning through CLIL, using their own photography/videos, linking social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram and including a PowerPoint presentation and a Publisher flyer or eBook to download.

They will thus be able to improve their linguistic competence, basic ICT and web publishing skills, social media awareness, social skills, intercultural awareness and sense of independence.

All the learners will benefit from a fresh sense of motivation in study and a re-engagement with the adult education opportunities in their region. As well as developing new interests and connections, unemployed learners or those with few or formal qualifications will gain new evidence of their basic skills, soft skills and increased employability. An added advantage of the partnership is that it may help to target the wider current issue of unemployment within the European Union. Staff in the partnership will have the opportunity to engage with CLIL teaching methodology and discover ways to involve it in all the subjects they teach, which will ultimately lead to increased linguistic competence in Europe.
